It was a great joy and privilege to be part of the first ever CTCE Intensive. One of the most encouraging things was to hear during the breaks and the dinners together how the experience was deepening the planters in the Gospel and making them think in fresh ways about reaching their cities. Just as rich was the camaraderie among the trainers, learning from one another’s uniques strengths and approaches. In a word, can’t wait for the next one!

The sessions “Idols of the Heart” and “Preaching to the Heart” were really important to me. I realized that to be able to preach to the heart I have to be able to identify my own idols first (preach the gospel to myself). As I identify my own idols, I can preach from a perspective of someone that struggles with the same issues as those who are listening to me, and not with a moralistic (“top-down”) intonation. It was amazing to see how the Gospel permeates in every aspect of your heart and mind.

It was a significant moment for me to see the intensive happening in Europe. I appreciated that I could be on the giving end after so many blessings I received as the participant of many CTC training moments.

The Intensive has been quite a blessing to start the process of church planting. Before the actual intensive began, all the pre-reading was a very useful way to get the core of the content of the training. It’s a great resource that I will go back to in order to train our team. The 10 days have been everything that I was hoping for. It was great to receive training from different church planters from all over Europe. I particularly appreciated the time we had to share our very diverse experiences in church planting. Those 10 days have been a great way for me to start the year focusing on what really matters.
— Clément Blanc, church planter in Paris-Saclay, France
Taking part at the CTCE intensive was a great experience. Getting to spend every day with other church planters from different backgrounds and different countries was very encouraging, especially when hearing about what God is doing in Europe. As for the training, It has already helped me in training our core team better and being able to know how I should apply the Gospel better in everything I do as a church planter.

Attending the CTCE Intensive last September was very informative and more importantly, very edifying for the global church community. The opportunity not only to bond as brothers with like-hearted church planters, but to learn from one another and the experience of the instructors has helped us immeasurably as we are still in the infancy of our church plant here in Spain. The challenges to church-planting in Europe are unique and the CTCE intensive, with its focus on these challenges, is invaluable.
— Trent Miller, church planter in À Coruna, Spain
The CTCE Intensive was the first intensive in Europe and I was so encouraged that it was led entirely by creative European facilitators who could contextualize to the current cultural realities faced in the continent. What I enjoyed most was the close friendships and collaboration that developed among those who attended. The impact of the event will be felt for years.
